at the Benton County Fairgrounds in Corvallis, Oregon
Join others in the community walking five kilometers to support drilling wells for clean water in schools and communities in Gondar, Ethiopia. Safe drinking water, healthy watersheds, and developing active learning about water in schools will improve health and livelihoods for more than 250,000 people in Corvallis’ Sister City. Also, learn about the culture and people in this historical and interesting region of Africa.
The event is fun for the whole family! Kids will enjoy playing in the kid area and doing crafts to learn more about Ethiopia. The “Market Village” is a great place to buy crafts and learn about organizations working in Africa. Enjoy Ethiopian food after the walk.
