Dear Friends of Corvallis Sister Cities-Gondar Council,

In April the Corona virus began to be a problem in Gondar with many people under stay home orders. They were not able to work and without a social net system, many struggled to pay for food. In May, we contacted you with an urgent appeal to support our Sister Cities families.

You responded with tremendous generosity with sending more than $10,000 to provide two months of basic food support, sanitation supplies, and personal protective material to more than 140 families connected to Walaj school community, site of the newly built kindergarten, coordinated by Link Ethiopia, and more than 200 children and staff supported by Bridge of Hope.

The Project: To address this continued food shortage, Bridge of Hope has asked CSCA-G  to help  increase their production of foods for those who are most in need by assisting in the following ways:

Goal #1: Increase their capacity to provide quality bread. Our goal is to raise at least $3,000.

Goal #2: Expand their greenhouse to raise vegetables. Our goal is to raise at least $2,000,

Goal #3: Increase their coops and chicks to produce eggs. Our goal is to raise $2,000, and

Goal #4: Enlarge their milk, and yogurt production. Our goal is to raise $3,000

Corvallis Sister Cities-Gondar Council has agreed to partner with Bridge of Hope in these initiatives as part of our mission to pursue sustainable solutions. We invite you to help!
